Found: Missing Sleepy Hollow Man Located at Bellevue Hospital

Update, Tuesday 8:50 a.m.: Police Chief Gregory Camp reported just after 11 p.m. on Monday that missing Sleepy Hollow man Angel De La Cruz had been located at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan "this past hour."

Camp thanked people for sharing the message during the search but said he had no further information about what may have happened to De La Cruz. 

"I have no further information as to his condition or when or how he may have entered the hospital," Camp said. "Thank you for your concern and assistance in attempting to locate Mr. De La Cruz and return him to his family."

Monday: A mentally disabled Sleepy Hollow man with a fascination for bus travel has been missing since Sunday, police report. 

Police Chief Gregory Camp on Monday morning issued emergency notice that 37-year-old Angel De La Cruz, with the mental ability of a 5- or 6-year-old, was last seen by his family on Sunday morning. He is described as "vulnerable," understanding very little English and not able to speak at all. 

"He is of Dominican descent and was mostly spoken to in Spanish language," Camp reports. "He has wandered off in the past and has a fascination for bus travel. All assistance in locating Angel and returning him to his family is appreciated."

De La Cruz is 5'10", weighs 175 pounds, and has black hair, a mustache, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white short sleeve shirt with black stripes, blue jean shorts, and gray and orange sandals. He has an ID bracelet on his left wrist.
