Bedford Road Rollover: Distracted by Dog

Sleepy Hollow Police report the hospitalization of a man and woman following a Bedford Road rollover on Dec. 20.

Claiming he was distracted by his dog, a driver on Bedford Road struck a parked car and rolled over his own, resulting in damaged cars and human injuries, report Sleepy Hollow Police.

Police Chief Gregory Camp said the driver was at the intersection of Bedford Road and Pine Street on December 20 just before 6 p.m. when he struck a parked and unoccupied car on Bedford Road, pushing it into a third parked and unoccupied car. The driver’s car, a 2001 Volkswagon, rolled over, resulting in airbag deployment and injuries.

The driver, 32, of Danbury, Connecticut sustained a shoulder injury while his passenger, 24, of Sleepy Hollow, sustained a head injury. Both were taken to Westchester Medical Center by Sleepy Hollow Ambulance Corps volunteers.
