Drug Arrests in Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown

Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown police report numerous drug-related arrests from Jan. 4 to Jan. 9.

In Tarrytown:

On Jan. 4 at 11:54 p.m., the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force requested Tarrytown police assistance with a traffic stop on White Street. Officers discovered the driver had a suspended license and found him in a possession of what Lieutenant William Herguth said was a “small amount” of heroin.

James Vieweg, 32, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh and aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and transported to headquarters for booking. He was released with a return court date.

On Jan. 9 at 1:06 a.m., a caller reported a suspicious man on Short Street, described as a white male wearing a dark jacket, light colored baseball cap and blue jeans. An officer found and arrested this man for unlawful possession of marijuana and transported him to headquarters for processing. He was released to a responsible person with a return court date.

Also on Jan. 9, at 8 p.m., a 20-year-old man was placed under arrest for unlawful possession of marijuana at Rivers Edge Drive. He was released with a return court date.

 

In Sleepy Hollow:

Three men were arrested by the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force and Sleepy Hollow Police on Jan. 4 at 7:55 p.m. on various drug-related charges.

  • One 58-year-old Sleepy Hollow man was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th.
  • One 55-year-old Sleepy Hollow man was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
  • And a 24-year-old White Plains man was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th.

All three were transported to headquarters and released with a return court date.

On Jan. 8 at 4:02 p.m., Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force and Sleepy Hollow police reported the arrest of two teenagers on Gory Brook Road for unlawful possession of marijuana. A 19-year-old Tarrytown man and a 19-year-old Sleepy Hollow man were issued appearance tickets and released.
