Greenburgh Considers Disposable Bag Fines, Tarrytown Vets Drum Corps Recruits

Each day, Patch provides the nuts and bolts of local happenings with our five-bullet local dispatch.

1) The town of Greenburgh’s Conservation Advisory Council is considering imposing a fee to large retailers giving out disposable bags (both paper and plastic) somewhere in the ballpark of 10 cents per bag. 2) The historic Tarrytown Vets Drum and Bugle Corps is almost finished with their 2013 season, filled with many awards and parades, and is still recruiting for their Music Line and Color Guard Section. Want to learn more? Read here in third-generation member Ryan Murray's post on our Boards.

3) Skies clear again today, partly, with expected highs in the mid-80s and chance of night showers or thunderstorms.
