Help Spring Clean Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow

It's that time of year when the villagers gather with gloves to spruce up our public spaces.

Earth Day is officially April 22 which inspires a slew of clean-up days before and after it in the villages.

The first clean up event of the season was also the first action day for the newly formed Friends of RiverWalk Park, who gathered on a gray-turned-sunny Saturday to weed out mugwort and other invasive species (as well as tear down old wooden fencing) from the overgrown RiverWalk in Tarrytown. Co-founder Pat Jones was there, along with a good amount of volunteers using gear donated from Hudson Harbor developer National RE/Sources and Goldberg Hardware.

Hear more from Jones and see scenes from the clean up in this video attached.
