Update, 11:46 a.m.: Appears everything is resolved; emergency officials have left.

Update, 11:37 a.m.: Leak is reportedly on the block of Barnes Road leading up from Kerwin Place. Emergency crews are still working on it.

The scene this morning at the Crest: three Tarrytown fire trucks and multiple police cars parked at Kerwin Place and Barnes.
Apparently, says resident Katherine Songster, who only just got her power back on Saturday, there is now a gas leak somewhere.
Officials, she says, "are only telling us to stay put, because they may need to check houses and if you are not home, 'they will kick the door in.'"
As of 11 a.m., they had been there for over an hour. At 11:26 a.m., Songster reports less emergency vehicles and more Con Edison. The latest count: Con Ed trucks and workers, one firetruck, and three police cars remain. At least there's Con Ed.
Stay tuned with Patch for updates.
