Apparently, says resident Katherine Songster, who only just got her power back on Saturday, there is now a gas leak somewhere.

Officials, she says, "are only telling us to stay put, because they may need to check houses and if you are not home, 'they will kick the door in.'"

As of 11 a.m., they had been there for over an hour. At 11:26 a.m., Songster reports less emergency vehicles and more Con Edison. The latest count: Con Ed trucks and workers, one firetruck, and three police cars remain. At least there's Con Ed.
