Police: Big Brawl Arrests in Sleepy Hollow

Two men were arrested in Sleepy Hollow following reports of large groups fighting and getting dispersed several times.

On July 21 just after 10:30 p.m., Sleepy Hollow Police reported there was a fight in progress at the corner of Clinton and Cortlandt streets and requested additional units.

Tarrytown police sent a few officers to help clear the group and all was reported under control after the group left the corner and the basketball courts were secured for the night.

However, just before 11 p.m., police reported being out with a large group of at least 50 people fighting at the same corner. Again they asked for back up from Tarrytown, who sent a few units to assist with clearing the crowd.

Parties had dispersed upon police arrival, but moments later another group began arguing resulting in the arrest of two.

Police Chief Camp reports the arrest of two 27-year-old Sleepy Hollow men each charged with disorderly conduct.
