Tarrytown Police report two drug arrests, carried out by the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force, in the McDonald’s parking lot on January 2.
Around 8 p.m., Task Force officers observed what appeared to be a drug sale taking place in the Tarrytown Centre lot. Officers stopped two people in a car and recovered 12 waxed bags of alleged heroin, said Tarrytown Lieutenant William Herguth.
Juan Urena, 23, of Peekskill was charged with criminal possession of controlled substance with intention to sell, a B felony. He was arraigned by Judge Kyle McGovern and released on $75,000 bond and $50,000 cash bail with a Tarrytown court date.
The other person with him was a Tarrytown resident, aged 25, who was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree and loitering in the first. And, noted Lieut. Herguth, he was allegedly found with an open container of alcohol.
