Tarrytown Police Investigate One Store Burglary, One Attempt

Tarrytown Police observed at 2:09 a.m. on Jan. 13 what looked like a forced break-in at 10 Main Street, the Carol Master antique store. The red door had opened with damages police found consistent with a break-in.

Officers checked inside the premises and notified the key holder. They confirmed a break-in had taken place but found nothing had been stolen.

A few days later, police responded to a call about a burglary that had apparently taken place at 19 North Broadway, Swagat Indian Restaurant, on Jan. 13 at 11:16 p.m.

They pushed in a folding door, Lt. Herguth said, making off with $200. The case is under investigation and "most likely" relates to the other burglary attempt, he said.
