There was one "open house" this week that was extremely open: the door was left ajar on a sunny warm evening, beckoning passersby into the airy high-ceilinged rooms of the newest Carriage House model home.
The so-called American Dream Home has been cleared out -- an almost-sale fell through due to personal reasons, reports sales director Paul Janos -- and now there's another well-appointed Carriage House to visit nearby in the Hudson Harbor complex.
The interior decor is the work of Greenwich, CT designer Gina Mele (of Greenwich Window Treatments) and is all nautical/natural with elements that draw deserved attention to the giant window views and the nearby river.
On this Thursday evening Mele was on hand, as was Janos and others, to greet guests, show them around and offer them appetizers and wine.
The four-level home starts at $995,000 and can come with the furnishings. You can find more information on the Hudson Harbor website.
