Sports Digest: Loffredo Scores 1,000 Points
Will Loffredo, a 7th grader at Transfiguration School in Tarrytown, scored his 1,000th point in a CYO basketball game.

Will Loffredo, a 7th Grader at Transfiguration School in Tarrytown, scored his 1,000th point in CYO Basketball game on Saturday, January 12th!

Will has played for the Transfiguration CYO team since the 3rd grade. He had 801 points as he started the 2012 season and in his career has played in 109 games. He scored 28 points in Saturday, January 12's game (the game where he scored the 1,000 point).
"My assistant coach, Mike Minerva, and I are very proud of Will's accomplishments,” said Transfiguration CYO basketball coach Chris Strnad. “I have been teaching and watching Will since the 3rd grade and he is a kid who only wants to get better at the game of basketball. I would like to congratulate the rest of the team as well, someone had to pass the ball to him so he can score. My team is guided by one principle, the team that plays as one beats any five."
