Maybury Sees Smooth Win for Mount Pleasant Supervisor

The votes aren’t fully counted -- see the latest results in our ongoing Election Hub here -- but the few races that were even contested look very clear for the town of Mount Pleasant. Greenburgh, on the other hand, only had competition in the primaries with a team of incumbents returning without a general election race.

Serving Sleepy Hollow

in Dictrict 3, Republican incumbent Michael Smith went unopposed for another term as county legislator.

Serving Tarrytown

in District 8, Democrat Alfreda Williams will face another term unopposed as well.

For the Town of Pleasant,

incumbent Supervisor Joan Maybury didn’t have much a challenge from Anthony D’Aria on his We The People line. With 71 percent of the districts reporting as of Wednesday morning, he secured only 17 percent of the votes.

Town Council positions are also clear-cut with republicans Laurie Rogers-Smalley and Denis McCarthy getting the large majority of the votes. Again the We the People line, represented here by John Casario, saw a slim showing with only 8 percent of the vote so far.
